Derivações Antropogênicas e Evolução do Manguezal nos Bairros 13 de Julho e Jardins em Aracaju-SE (Anthropogenic Derivations and Evolution of Mangrove in Neighborhoods 13 de Julho and Jardins in Aracaju-SE)

Abstract

As principais ações do homem sobre as áreas estuarinas, em especial sobre os manguezais, resultam na degradação desse ambiente biofísico de extrema relevância para a manutenção da biodiversidade. O presente artigo visa analisar como as ações humanas, aqui chamadas de derivações antropogênicas, causaram de forma indireta o desenvolvimento do manguezal entre os bairros 13 de julho e Jardins no município de Aracaju-SE. Para alcançar o objetivo proposto foram realizados levantamentos bibliográficos relativos à temática, mapeamento multitemporal de fotografias aéreas e imagens de satélite, no período entre 1955 - 2008 e integração e interpretação dos dados obtidos. A partir da análise do levantamento bibliográfico e do mapeamento multitemporal foi possível perceber que o crescimento urbano sobre a Coroa do Meio, localizada adjacente à área de estudo, foi determinante para a destruição do manguezal existente no local. Contudo, essas intervenções antrópicas derivaram indiretamente no desenvolvimento da planície de maré entre os bairros 13 de julho e Jardins. As intervenções antrópicas sobre a Coroa do Meio provocaram o isolamento da ação diretas das ondas sobre a área de estudo, ocasionando a colonização pelo mangue e sendo responsável pela expansão da área do manguezal. Estudos como o apresentado no presente trabalho se mostram de extrema relevância como subsídio para o planejamento ambiental de áreas urbanizadas.

The main human actions on the estuarine areas, in particular on the mangroves, result in the degradation of this biophysical environment of extreme relevance to the maintenance of biodiversity. The present article aims to analyze how human actions, here referred to as anthropogenic derivations, caused indirectly mangrove development between 13 de julho and Jardins neighborhoods in the city of Aracaju - SE. To achieve the objective proposed bibliographic surveys were carried out relating to the theme, multitemporal mapping of aerial photographs and satellite images, in the period between 1955 and 2008 and integration and interpretation of the data obtained. From the analysis of the bibliographic survey and mapping multitemporal was possible to notice that urban growth on the Coroa do Meio, located adjacent to the study area, was decisive for the destruction of the mangrove forest on the site. However, these anthropogenic interventions derived indirectly on the development of tidal Plains between 13 de julho and Jardins neighborhoods. Anthropogenic interventions on the Coroa do Meio caused the isolation of the direct action of the waves on the study area, resulting in colonization by mangrove and being responsible for the expansion of the mangrove area. As the studies presented in this work are of extreme relevance as an aid for environmental planning of built-up areas.
