Tipos de Tempo e Desastres Urbanos no Distrito Federal entre 2000 e 2015 (Types of Weather and Urban Disasters in the Federal District Between 2000 and 2015)

A presente investigação surgiu do fato de que existe uma falsa ideia de que, no Distrito Federal, não ocorrem desastres urbanos decorrentes de eventos climáticos. Assim, o presente texto tem como objetivo apresentar o histórico da ocupação e os tipos de tempo no Distrito Federal que possibilitam a ocorrência dos desastres urbanos. Para tanto foram analisadas reportagens jornalísticas do período compreendido entre 2000 e 2015. Foram identificados diversos tipos de ocorrências, desde alagamentos, problemas com a saúde e até óbitos. Verificou-se que, em muitos casos, a falta de planejamento contribuiu para a ocorrência dos desastres.
A B S T R A C T
This investigation arose from the fact that there is a misconception that, in the Federal District, do not occur urban disasters caused by climate events. Thus, this paper aims to present the history of occupation and weather in the Federal District that allow the occurrence of urban disasters. For both news reports of the period between 2000 and 2015 various types of occurrences were identified and were analyzed from flooding, problems with health and even death. It was found that, in many cases, lack of planning contributed to the occurrence of disasters.
