This study aimed to identify evidence of using coping in Cardiology Nursing through an integrative literature review. The search in the databases LILACS, MEDLINE and CINAHL, using the terms coping, nursing and cardiology, resulted in 18 available articles. Most of them were of American origin and disseminated in the current decade. They assessed the behavior of patients (4), family members (1) and the team (1), or developed a coping strategy (7) or reflected on the theme (5). The studies (8) did not provide strong evidence, but favored knowledge about how patients and relatives perceived the disease and ways of dealing with it, stressing factors for the team and ways to face them; the interventions provided positive results to raise the quality of life of patients and relatives, reducing the risk of mortality.Descriptors: Psychological Adaptation, Nursing Care, Cardiology, CopingDownloads
