Intent on understanding the repercussions of working with images in fostering more experiential learning for students in a public school in Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, this report delves into the experiences. To this end, the study involved 33 students from the 2nd year of both regular and integral high school at Dom Climério Almeida de Andrade State School (CEDOCA). The report relied on qualitative approaches, employing the Empirical Phenomenological Method (EPM). The adopted analytical perspective was phenomenological. The key concepts problematized in the report were those of image and the teaching-learning process in Geography. In conclusion, we believe that working with images enables more dynamic, engaging constructions that are closely tied to the life-world of the students. Images, with their potential for openness, allow individuals to problematize their contents in dialogues with their experiences. This, in turn, facilitates the production of learning that increasingly takes on experiential forms.
