Reflections on the teaching of biogeography based on the evaluation of the contents of the Enem: study of the period from 2011 to 2016 and perceptions of high school students

This article is the result of teaching practice in the subject of Biogeography, based on an analysis of the contents of the National High School Exam concomitant with the teaching internship carried out in a public school in the city of Belém/Pará. To this end, the aim is to analyze how biogeography appears in the ENEM questions in a time frame from 2011 to 2016, listing the main difficulties of high school students related to the questions. The methodology applied in the research was content analysis and semi-structured interviews using the qualitative method. This study contributes to thinking about new possibilities in the use of educational tools and encouraging didactic productions at high school level of a regional nature in the Amazon on the knowledge of biogeographical terms used in the classroom, to enable an increase in the learning process of geographical knowledge.
