Estimating Erosion Rates through Linear Survey by Global Positioning and Soil Density
ABSTRACT
This paper presents the results of an estimative of erosion linear rates through of two topography withdrawals with the use of GNSS (Global Navegation Sattelite System) receivers within twelve months and overall density analysis by eroded soil of ravines process located at Unesp of Presidente Prudente. It was observed a linear erosion rate of 148,65 t/ha/year, whose soil presented overall density of 1,43 g.cm-3, being this rate four upper turns as verified rate in experimental parcels of cotton crop (Lepsch, 2002), that shown the importance of research and estimations of rates and evolutions of linear erosion shapes.
Keywords: soil erosion, GPS, density and rates.
