Social Capital and Local Wisdom in Conflict Resolution in National Parks

The role of social capital in resolving conflicts related to land tenure policies in the Kerinci Seblat National Park conservation area through a network of relationships, trust, and social norms in solving land tenure problems and increasing cooperation between stakeholders. This study looks at how social capital can help Indigenous communities, conservation organizations, and local governments to work together in resolving land management issues in conservation areas. The research found that strengthening social capital through community engagement by combining traditional practices and modern practices in building trust by ensuring that local communities are actively involved in the decision-making process. This research used a qualitative approach with a literature study method. The research shows that effective social capital can help reduce conflict, improve community welfare, and support environmental conservation efforts. The research will provide an understanding of the role of social capital in more inclusive land tenure policies.
