Indicadores de qualidade do solo.Abstract
The magnetic susceptibility of the soil has been used as a pedoyand, associated with the chemical and physical attributes of the soil as an alternative to determine the landscape variation, a fact that can help in sampling planning. It was aimed to evaluate the effect of limestone application in banana production area, with the spatial variability of micronutrients, Cu, Fe, MN and Zn, granulometry and its relationship with the magnetic susceptibility of the soil in the Piaui Cerrado. In a banana orchard, 42 soil samples were collected at a depth of 0.00 - 0.20 and 0.20 - 0.40 m, with a 30 x 35 m grid. The assessed attributes were magnetic susceptibility, micronutrients (Cu, Fe, MN and Zn) and soil granulometric fractions (clay, sand and silt). Descriptive and geostatistical analysis of the data and correlation of Pearson was performed. Magnetic susceptibility correlated with more than 80% of the variables in both depths and areas with and without limestone incorporation. Maps of variability clearly show the distribution and concentration of nutrients in the soil, allowing interventions in fertilization operations of the area, enabling application of inputs at varying rates aiming at their homogenization.
