Deepening the precariousness of education and teaching in pandemic times

Abstract

The established health crisis had repercussions on the totality of social relations. That said, the emergence of the Coronavirus laid the groundwork so that issues and processes already underway could gain even more vivid, complex contours and with new resizing. In this bulge, the process of precariousness was accentuated by the pandemic context mediated by the long wave of capitalist crisis. Likewise, issues related to education and teaching work were even more immersed in situations of precariousness, a condition aggravated by remote teaching. In this way, problematizations about the situation of health crisis and its relationship with the process of precariousness in the field of work and social services are brought here, highlighting issues around the precarious conditions in which education and the exercise of teaching have been carried out. Some considerations about the meaning of remote teaching are also addressed

Jetson Lourenço Lopes da Silva, Universidade Federal de Sergipe

Possui Graduação em Serviço Social pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (2008), Mestrado em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (2013) e Doutorado em Serviço Social pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (2019). Tem experiência na área de Serviço Social, com ênfase no campo da Questão Agrária, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Fundamentos do Serviço Social; Lutas Sociais; Movimentos Sociais do Campo; Reforma Agrária e Políticas Públicas.
