The short story “11. September”, written by Catalin Dorian Florescu, deals with the way the main characters, Max and Rosalie, process their perceptions, creating a net of causes, in order to weave and narrative that produces existential meaning. In this context, the production of meaning is connected to a specific affective configuration that has to be dealt with by the main characters. In face of the destabilization of their social networks, the characters need new strategies to think and narrate their identities. Thus, after discussing the theoretical intersection between affects and meaning, thisarticles discusses the fragilization of meaning in both characters.References
