Pedagogical experiences from culture: the case of porto nacional (Tocantins, Brazil)

This article proposes to raise a theoretical discussion about culture in the municipality of Porto Nacional (Tocantins, Brazil), based on the analysis of a case study: a pedagogical workshop at Escola Estadual Dr. Pedro Ludovico Teixeira, with students from the 2nd year of Technical High School in Occupational Safety. The theoretical discussion is based on a bibliographic review, with authors who deal with culture, both regional and local, as well as their definitions and meanings. In addition to the pedagogical workshop, the study used questionnaires applied among managers, teachers, students and artists representing the regional culture. In practice, it was possible to verify that the local culture is still not addressed by the schools with greater emphasis in the region. However, it was found that the regional culture continues to resist in time and space.References
