The disordered exploitation of agricultural ecosystems is hindering the reliability of water supply for multiple uses. Population growth and agricultural areas have caused an increase in requests for grants for both public supply and irrigation. This problem requires measures to get to know the water availability of a certain region. The purpose of this article is to simulate the production of water using the hydrological model SWAT in the sub-basin of the Sangradouro river to foresee its water availability for irrigation and human supply for the next 10 - 25 - 50 - 75 -100 years.
