Comparação entre Dados de Precipitação do CPC e DCA/AESA para a Região do Cariri Paraibano

O objetivo deste trabalho foi comparar os dados de precipitação do CPC com dados de chuva observados, provenientes do DCA/AESA para a região do Cariri Paraibano durante o período de 1979 a 2010. Foram calculadas correlações mensais entre as duas séries de dados, para cada cidade que compõe a região, utilizando para isto apenas os dados sem falhas. Os resultados para toda a região do Cariri Paraibano indicaram uma boa correlação entre as séries com coeficiente que variaram entre 0,58 a 0,89, todos significantes a 95% de confiança. Os dados do CPC também conseguiram reproduzir bem o trimestre chuvoso, que ocorre entre os meses de fevereiro a abril,na área em estudo, apresentando uma margem de erro inferior a20%, podendo ser considerado relativamente pequeno se tratando da grande variabilidade encontrada na precipitação. As maiores discrepâncias foram observadas no período seco em que os erros foram bem maiores.Downloads
