This paper refers to a morphological study of the urban basin Tucunduba, located in the southern portion of the city of Belém do Pará, and its relation to the forms of land use in the area. The main objective prioritizes morphological mapping in detail scale, related to the identification and characterization of relevant units in the basin, through the identification and analysis of altimetric elevations, and how this relief with the forms of occupation by local people, and the influence of this population about these forms of relief, given the historical process of production of space in the area to be directly connected to the current ways of use and occupation. This work was performed using the methodology regarding the application of taxonomic forms of relief, as well as through the identification and subsequent analysis of four classes of land use: buildings, vegetation, canals and urban roads. Finally, the work allowed it to be made a link between the relevant units identified in the study area (plains, slopes, top terrace and the terrace) and land use through the aforementioned classes. Thus, it was possible to understand the consequences of this relationship not only on the physical aspects, but also social - economical, especially when we consider the population residing in the area.
