Estudos envolvendo a compartimentação da paisagem, associados ao uso das geotecnologias, têm apresentado boa aplicabilidade nas ciências geográficas porque permitem discussões socioambientais consideradas importantes para a melhor gestão territorial. Com o objetivo de identificar e caracterizar as unidades e subunidades morfoesculturais das bacias hidrográficas do Paraná III, localizadas na fronteira do Brasil com o Paraguai, foram elaboradas cartas de declividade, hipsometria, curvatura vertical e do relevo sombreado e de unidades do modelado. A análise dos dados permitiu identificar e caracterizar quatro unidades e três subunidades no território brasileiro e quatro unidades no território paraguaio. Este estudo de caso, além de confirmar a boa aplicabilidade da metodologia, com auxílio das geotecnologias no entendimento sistêmico da paisagem, possibilitou o levantamento de dados que subsidiaram o planejamento ambiental e territorial da área estudada.
A B S T R A C T
Studies involving landscape partitioning, associated to geotechnology use, have presented good applicability in geographical Science since they allow social environmental discussions that are important to a better territorial management. Aiming at identifying and characterizing the morph sculptural units and subunits of Parana III hydrological basin, located in the borderline between Brazil and Paraguay, slope charts, hypsometry and vertical curvature were elaborated from shaded relief and units of the shape. The data analysis allowed the identification and characterization of four units and three subunits on the Brazilian territory and four units on the Paraguayan territory. The present case study, besides confirming the good methodology applicability, with the aid of geotechnologies in the systemic understanding of the landscape, made possible the data collection that served as basis for environmental and territorial planning of the studied area.
