socio-environmental conflicts in resistance for the territory

This experience report has as emphasis of study the analysis through the aspects arising from the Quilombo of Mercês Island, territory belonging to a community of subsistence remaining quilombo. Throughout the description of the elaboration of this report, we aim to highlight the spatial historical characterization, where we will previously report a little about the issue of space to which they are constituted, their struggles and achievements. Onwards, we transcribe the analysis around the descriptive analytical presentation, presented first-hand through the orality of the quilombo residents, who denote us and expose their experience as a subsistence community, exposed through its dialogues the struggle and resistance to the advances of the capitalist economic system in an attempt to conquer the space inherited by the quilombola people, Through its practices of capital accumulation in the extraction of natural resources focused on the estuarine ecosystem that is conserved, sheltering a great marine biodiversity, in addition comprising respectively the culture and ethnicity of Quilombo Mercês.
