Sexo e cosmopolitismo na prosa de ficção da Belle Époque brasileira: Mademoiselle Cinema e Madame Pommery

This paper aims to analyze Madame Pommery, by Hilário Tácito, and Mademoiselle Cinema, by Benjamim Costallat, focusing on the main characters and how they are portrayed, considering the context of Bellé Époque from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. For this, we work with the concepts of unreliable narrator (RICOEUR, 1997) and narrator-chronicler (BENJAMIN, 1994). We conclude that Costallat (1999) constructs Rosalina to alert the readers and condemn the attitudes of a woman influenced by the Belle Époque, while Tácito (1998) boasts Mme. Pommery, who only follows the rules of a hypocritical city.References
