In this work, we propose a study of the ethos, the strategies of presentation of themselves that are produced with the clear argumentative objective of making a good impression. Our theoretical foundation is in the Discursive Studies area and our research is supported by the investigations of Maingueneau (2008; 2011), Amossy (2011a), Barthes (1975), among others. The corpus for analysis is composed of three manifestations of canceled people, posted on the internet. As a result, it was observed the construction of an ethosof victim and innocence, which contributes to the production of a positive image of the subjects.References
