In Os animais têm razão (2010), seven animals gather in an assembly to discuss the conduct of Man in the world. Considering the philosophical writings of Bacon (1979; 2002) and Montaigne (2009), we reflect on how the human and nature are characterized, in addition to investigating the boundaries between Literature and Philosophy. We visited the contributions of Nunes (2010), Nitrini (2015), Samoyault (2008) and Chevalier and Gheerbrant (1988). The poem presents itself critically about the interactions between human beings and nature and serves as an alert to the deafness of the first to the voice of the natural world.
