Based on Semantics of Event by Eduardo Guimarães, especially on the concepts of event, agencyof the subject, rewriting and articulation, we studied the senses of a newspaper article about Mercedes Sosa’s lastest album. The analysis discuss that the Locutor signs the text as an x-Locutor that occupy a critical space, but not independently, it is a Brazilian critic writing in a newspaper that circulates in Brazil. Thus, his saying is constitutive by a contradiction: it enunciates its project of non ufanism, praising the Brazilian singers’ participation and negatively evaluating the work performed byforeing singers.References
