The Cuesta relief stands as a greatly relevant morphological trait in the Paulista shape, once it owns an abrupt front that is accompanied by a large peripheral depression, recorded in São Paulo State of Paulista Peripheral Depression. Thus, the Cuesta Relief, by considering old and new bibliography, it has a considerable draft of studies all around, though, they did not elucidate all pertinent questions regarding the genesis of such compartment. Therefore, it remains necessary to take back some aspects and analyze them at a more detailed scale. The present article objectifies to analyze relief forms in the contact peripheral cuesta-depression as from morphostructural survey, at the scale of 1:50,000 in the spatial area of Analândia’s cuestiform sector. Then, morphostructural surveys have been elaborated from confected drainage density letters, depth of drainage, declivity and linear structural traits. The technique used allowed the overlapping of geomorphological and tectonic information, which are pertinent for targeted study areas such as these. Therefore, this paper presents the rising of some hypotheses about relief evolution in the approached area, being possible to verify that the cuestiform front has varied features. Some sectors are quite steep, and a high density as well as desiccation depth whereas some are slightly softened, consisting of lower desiccation density. These points spot out variations on lithology resistance, then so differences between frequency and intensity of the region’s linear structures.
Keywords: Geomorphology, tectonic activity, drainage, desiccation of relief.
